The youngest of seven children, Martha grew up in New Canaan, Connecticut, took up competitive diving, and earned an athletic scholarship to Virginia Tech University. After graduating with honors from Tech, Martha moved with her family to Florida, New York and then finally, thankfully, to Knoxville. She has been here for 16 years and has no intention of leaving! She loves the climate and most of all, the people of Knoxville.
Martha’s experience includes sales and management jobs with Brookstone, TGI Fridays, The Walt Disney Company and State Farm Insurance. She enjoys working closely with clients to develop the right marketing plan and works to meet her goal of sharing in both the success of her customer and her company. Martha has worked closely with East Tennessee Children’s Hospital, St. Jude Research Hospital, The Mission of Hope, Knox Area Rescue Ministries and Reach Them to Teach Them. She also enjoys networking with several local area chambers and business groups.
She is especially lucky to have family in the Knoxville area, including her sister and brother in law in law, Alison (from Andy and Alison in the morning) and Miles Mencer, proprietor of Mencer’s Tree Service. Her father and her father-in-law have relocated to Knoxville and she feels very fortunate to have them all nearby.
Martha joined the Cumulus, (formerly Citadel), family in February of 2007 and truly enjoys a career that lets her use her time in ways that she can help people in so many ways in the community.
In her personal time, her favorite things are spending time with her husband, Michael and her two children, Jimmy who works for Aubrey’s and her daughter, Lisa, recently graduated from The University of Alabama.
