Knoxville Police say Suspect Wanted for Two Counts of First-Degree Murder in Shooting at The Pint House in North Knoxville is Still At-Large

Knoxville Police have identified the victims and a suspect in a fatal shooting at The Pint House in North Knoxville.

28 year-old Zachery Herrera and 41 John Goosie were found shot in the parking lot yesterday morning and both died from their injuries. A woman was injured but is expected to be okay.

KPD has identified two suspects; 40 year-old Kevin Matthews and 36 year-old Steven Davis after viewing the business’s surveillance footage with showed the suspects approach the bar and started assaulting Herrera outside of the front entrance for reasons that remain unknown. Herrera was a security guard at The Pint House. Goosie was a patron who was attempting to break up the fight.

During the altercation, Matthews pulled out a gun and fired multiple shots and he is being charged with two counts of first-degree murder, while Davis is charged with aggravated assault and violation of parole.

Davis has been taken into custody and anyone with information concerning Matthews’ is asked to call East Tennessee Valley Crime Stoppers at 865-215-7165. Tipsters can remain anonymous and be eligible to receive a cash reward. Matthews should be considered armed and dangerous.

The investigation remains ongoing.
