Knoxville, TN (WOKI) Knoxville Police are investigating a fatal crash that happened early Wednesday morning on I-40 East.
Officers say a Toyota Corolla was stopped in the far right lane on I-40 East, for an unknown reason, near Midway Road when a box truck hit the rear of the stopped car.
The man driving and only person in the car was pronounced dead at the scene. The box truck driver was not injured.
Officers found assorted narcotics in the Corolla, including suspected heroin and crack cocaine.
