Knoxville Police Find Missing Man with Autism

Knoxville, TN (WOKI) UPDATE: An autistic man missing earlier this afternoon has now been located.

Knoxville Police Department officials say they had been looking for 23-year-old Michael Mamintov who went missing from the Pond Gap / Liberty Street area.

KPD says Mamintov was found safe around 4:00 p.m. Friday afternoon at the Calvary Baptist Church on Kingston Pike.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Knoxville Police Department is looking for a missing man who they say has autism.

KPD officials making the announcement Friday afternoon say 23-year-old Michael Mamintov went missing from the Pond Gap / Liberty Street area.

According to KPD, Mamintov stands around six feet tall and weighs 170 pounds and was last seen wearing blue sweat pants and a gray shirt.

Those with information are being asked to call 911.
