Dolly Parton’s Stampede is Celebrating Christmas with a Special Dinner Show

It’s the most wonderful time of the year at Dolly Parton’s Stampede, when the dinner show is transformed into a holiday wonderland filled with the sights and sounds of Christmas. Known as “The Most Fun Place to Eat in the Smokies,” Christmas at Dolly Parton’s Stampede takes guests on a lively yuletide adventure including a full-scale living Nativity, elaborate holiday decorations, Santa Claus and a “big” assortment of toys, a magical aerial performance and a fabulous four-course feast sure to warm the hearts and appetites of all who visit. “Christmas at Dolly Parton’s Stampede” debuted Nov. 1 and runs through Jan. 6, 2024.

“At my Stampede dinner show, Christmas is more than just a celebration,” Dolly said. “Folks coming to my Stampede get to sit down together and have a big holiday feast while watching our heartwarming holiday show. ‘Christmas at Stampede” has become a family-favorite tradition that has warmed the hearts of millions of families for 35 holiday seasons – that’s a lot of special Christmas memories made!  And this year, we’re so thrilled to help bring even more families together to make more precious times to remember. I think my favorite parts are where our great performers celebrate the holiday’s true meaning with a full-scale living Nativity that will transport everyone back to that first Christmas. I love hearing from so many families that tell us this show has become a treasured part of their annual holiday traditions.”

Audience members are in for a treat, as they witness an extraordinary aerial production set to the unforgettable music of The Nutcracker. This “Magic of Toys” portion of the show makes childhood dreams a holiday reality for kids of all ages, as the Sugar Plum Fairy brings favorite toys to life in a stunning musical celebration.

Guests will be awed by the birth of Jesus re-enacted with Mary, Joseph, the Three Wise Men and a living Nativity of camels, donkeys and sheep. This touching scene is a reminder of the true meaning of Christmas and the importance and wonder of the holiday season.

Stampede’s 32 magnificent horses, not to be confused with Santa’s reindeer, offer thrilling performances throughout the holiday show, and guests will watch in amazement as these talented entertainers perform jaw-dropping stunts during this Christmas extravaganza. These equestrian holiday stars also race in exciting competitions as audience members cheer their respective sides of the North Pole and South Pole on to victory, and the reindeer games continue as elves from the North and South Poles compete in friendly and festive competitions. As an enchanting snowfall begins, Old Saint Nick arrives in his sleigh full of goodies to conclude the captivating Christmas festivities.

The entire Christmas experience is enhanced by the state-of-the-art, LED wall backdrop to the show’s 35,000-square-foot arena, which seamlessly complements the exciting action with stunning holiday scenery. Guests will feel as if they instantly have been transported deep into the natural beauty of Christmas from the foothills surrounding the Great Smoky Mountains to the clear skies above Bethlehem on the night of Jesus’ birth.

The show wouldn’t be complete without a proper Christmas feast, which features Stampede’s signature four-course holiday dinner including Stampede’s signature creamy vegetable soup, homemade buttery biscuit, a whole rotisserie chicken, hickory-smoked barbequed pork loin, corn on the cob, herb-basted potato, Stampede’s own specialty holiday dessert and unlimited Coca-Cola® products, tea or coffee. Vegetarian and gluten free meals are available upon request.
