Knoxville, TN (WOKI) The search for a man wanted for attempted first degree murder in a shooting incident Tuesday night is now over.

Police say 25 year-old Stephon Davidson was taken into custody Wednesday, December 20 by Knox County Sheriff’s Office deputies at a motel on Asheville Highway.

Davidson was wanted in connection to the shooting of a 28 year-old man late Tuesday night at an apartment in the 300 block of McConnell Street.

The victim was taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.

Police believe Davidson shot the victim through the door of the apartment during an argument, then left.

Davidson is also facing a charge of felon in possession of a firearm.
