Knox County Warehouse Roof Collapses Amid Severe Weather, Rural Metro Says

Knoxville, TN (WOKI) The roof of a warehouse in Knox County collapsed Wednesday afternoon during severe storms.

Rural Metro Fire officials say crews arrived around 12:30 p.m. to PSG Warehouse on South National Drive where people were evacuating due to the partial collapse of the roof.

Fire officials say a large water and gas line were damaged in the collapse causing a massive gas leak inside the building which was identified by responders for remediation by facility maintenance personnel.

“The building was cleared, and all personnel were accounted for,” Rural Metro said.

Two people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. No other injuries were reported.
