The Tennessee Highway Patrol is Investigating Teen’s Death in Dirt Bike Crash

The Tennessee Highway Patrol is investigating after a teen is killed after crashing into a car while riding a dirt bike in Hamblen County.

Preliminary reports say the car was going south on Three Springs Road near North 3rd Street in Russellville yesterday (Monday) afternoon when the 17 year-old ran a stop sign and into the car’s path and was struck.

THP says the teen was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver of the car is not facing charges.
