Knoxville, TN (KPD/WOKI) A 20 year-old man was wounded in a shooting that happened on Sunday afternoon in a Riverview Park Apartment complex parking lot. 

At around 2:40 p.m. on January 12, 2025, Knoxville Police Department officers responded to a report of shots fired in the area of River Maple Way and Holston Hills Road. 

Numerous shell casings were recovered at the scene, while multiple parked vehicles had been struck by gunfire. 

While officers were on that scene, they were notified that the male victim had arrived at the UT Medical Center in a personal vehicle. The victim was treated for non-life-threatening injuries. 

At this time, it is believed that multiple individuals were involved in the shooting and that it potentially stemmed from an ongoing personal dispute. 

No suspects have arrested or charged at this time, and the investigation is ongoing.
