Tyler Ivens and Will West are reunited, this time in afternoon drive! They bring you a fun, high energy, opinionated, fundamentally sound sports talk show to get you caught-up on the top University of Tennessee and national sports stories…with some shenanigans.
Host Tyler Ivens
Tyler Ivens was born and raised in Knoxville before spending five years in Iowa covering the Big 10. The Central High School alum attended the University of Tennessee and made his way to 99.1 The Sports Animal here in Knoxville in the spring of 2017. Ivens is an avid New York Mets, Jets, Knicks and Islanders fan and loves wagering, cigars, dogs and occasionally his co-workers. Follow Tyler on Twitter HERE.

Show Producer
Riley Thomas has been on staff since 2022. Thomas is from Knoxville and attended Carson-Newman University where he received his bachelor’s degree before going to the University of Tennessee to receive his master’s degree. Before joining 99.1 The Sports Animal, Thomas worked on our sister station, Newstalk987, as the afternoon news anchor. Thomas was the producer of the Erik Ainge show before taking the duties of producer for Tyler and Will. Riley has taken over UT Football Practice Reports presented by American Outdoor Equipment Center in Rockwood on 99.1 The Sports Animal. Those are heard on our morning and afternoon shows where Riley shares news and notes from Vols Football practice. You can also hear Riley fill-in on other 99.1 The Sports Animal Shows and also fill-ins on the morning shows for Newstalk987. Follow Riley on Twitter HERE!
